Melbourne-based health tech recognised as Australia’s top fitness and wellbeing organisation


SiSU Wellness, established by leading sports physiologist Dr Noel Duncan, has been awarded Fitness & Wellbeing Business of the Year at the industry-leading Optus My Business Awards, cementing the company’s reputation as one of Australia’s top health tech organisations.


SiSU Wellness was presented the accolade at the Optus My Business Awards ceremony in Sydney on Friday (9th), fighting off strong competition. It follows a hugely successful year which saw the company experience rapid growth, with its flagship product, the SiSU Health Station, now available across 370 sites in Australia and the UK.


Dr Noel Duncan, former Head of Fitness & Nutrition for Collingwood and Richmond Football Clubs and the founder of SiSU Wellness, cites the company’s success as a result of driving retail and corporate partnerships which allow the final product to be user-centric: “We understood very early on that accessibility is a huge driver in user engagement, and that providing the SiSU Health Stations free of charge would help us reach the greatest audience possible. This hypothesis has rung true. When we submitted our initial response to the Optus My Business Awards in August, we had conducted 1.9m Health Checks. By the end of the year, it will have surpassed 2.5m.”

Since it was founded in 2013, SiSU Wellness has played an instrumental role in supporting Australians to transform their health and fitness through its expansive partnership with Priceline. Their SiSU Health Stations are available in 230 Priceline Pharmacies across Australia. SiSU Health Station champion, Catherine, attributes her impressive 21kg weight loss to the SiSU Health Station located in her local Priceline in Sydney.


“I started my SiSU journey last February. I’ve had lots of ups and downs, I come into Priceline almost every week to weigh myself and make sure I’m on track, I have lost a total of 21kgs and still going,” said Catherine.


The benefits realised by SiSU Wellness products are not limited to individuals. Major organisations across Australia have observed huge health and commercial benefits from installing SiSU Health Stations in the workplace, including energy operator Jemena. Jemena recorded an 11% reduced health risk-per-person after just six months, equating to a saving $490 per person in lost productivity.

In addition, SiSU Wellness was also recognised as a finalist for Sustainability Program of the Year, a rare double finalist nomination for the organisation.


Located in pharmacies, hospitals, supermarkets and workplaces in Australia and the UK, SiSU Health Stations enable users to quickly and accurately check their body weight, heart age, BMI, blood pressure and other biometric measurements – at no cost.
